The muscular lines.  The amount of metal.  REAL metal!  
Even the dimensions and physical size of these beauties hearken to another time...when gas was cheap and horsepower was king.

Here's one I was fortunate enough to take on the other day.  It's a Pontiac LeMans convertible, even more cherished now that GM has discontinued the Pontiac brand.  
When I got it, it had quite a few swirl marks and the paint was a little dull.  I gave it a two stage treatment, and it came out beautifully!
