Well, this sort of thing doesn't happen everyday in the life of a detailer....but here is one for the record books!

We were approached a couple of days back about help with and interior "smell" issue.  Turns out it was SKUNK! 

How does Skunk get into the interior of a vehicle you ask?  Well, it's the first question we asked too...and it turns out it was brought in by the family dog!  That's right, the family dog got sprayed by a skunk, but the owners didn't recognize the awful gift left behind and thought the dog was sick.  So they put him in the car and off to the Veterinarian they went!

Of course the Vet recognized the odor right away as Skunk, checked the dog (quickly!) for any signs of cuts or issues (other than being sprayed) and promptly told the owners to get the dog back in the car and go to plan B!  (Plan B is to get rid of the smell!)

Unfortunately, that meant the car got a second dose of the skunk oil (yes, skunks emit a fowl smelling oil that sticks to their "threat" - they usually spray only when they feel threatened - and allows them to escape while the victim tries to figure out what the heck just happened to them) making the challenge of removing this nemesis even more daunting!

This was not only a challenge, but if we weren't able to get it out of the car, the next step would get VERY expensive!

We're happy to report that with a couple of hours of careful application of the right combination of natural cleaners, and a quick follow up with proven interior cleaning method - a fogger - we were able to sufficiently remove that crazy smell!

Here's one I was fortunate enough to take on the other day.  It's a Pontiac LeMans convertible, even more cherished now that GM has discontinued the Pontiac brand.  
When I got it, it had quite a few swirl marks and the paint was a little dull.  I gave it a two stage treatment, and it came out beautifully!
